Liverpool Transfer News: £46m midfielder chase, ‘next Luis Suarez’ eyed, £15m raid

Liverpool are in the race to sign Sporting Lisbon’s William Carvalho, according to reports.
The defensive midfielder has attracted interest from a host of top European clubs in recent months.
Italian publication Tuttomercato claim Chelsea, Manchester United, Roma, PSG and Monaco are all keeping tabs on him.
But the Portuguese outfit are intent on keeping him and have reportedly offered him a new deal that could see his release clause rise to 60 million euros (£46m).

Liverpool, Manchester City and Barcelona are part of a three-way chase for youngster Joaquin Ardaiz, according to reports.
The 16-year-old has impressed for Uruguayan side Danubio and has already been dubbed ‘the next Luis Suarez’.
And according to The Sun, all three club are tracking the youngster’s progress after he was promoted to the club’s first-team squad for the rest of the campaign.

United and Arsenal are both reportedly weighing up a summer bid for Daniel Sturridge.
The England international has struggled with injury in recent months and reports emerged earlier this week that he wants to leave Anfield.
The Sun understands United and Arsenal could both attempt to sign Sturridge for a bargain fee of £15m in the summer.
Sturridge’s contract with Liverpool runs until the summer of 2019
